I visited this restaurant last Sunday for lunch with my cousin and her husband who live in the village. It was quite honestly the best lunch I have had in a long time. My cousins had the lamb and I had the chicken. Both were superbly …

Brilliant food... went for a midweek lunch and loved the genuine home cooked veggie options. Great service and a lovely interior.

Lovely pub and hotel, beautiful beer garden with a closing gate that you can use to pen the kids in with, including kiddie tables. Because we were staying the hotel called up to see if we needed a table holding for the evening - good thing they did as the place was very busy with diners in the evening. Lovely menu, fresh game on while we were there. Our baby monitor (nothing fancy) worked from the room to the restaurant and bar area. The cot provided was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. All round a very pleasant stay - will be returning!

How do I give this lovely place the exceptional review it deserves without making it more difficult to get a table in the future. From the friendly and helpful staff for whom nothing was to much trouble, the superb food which was cooked to perfection and very well presented, to the variety of well kept beverages that were on offer. All at reasonable prices for the quality and atmosphere. Recommended to us by my sister for an anniversary lunch. Will certainly return on a regular basis. Noteworthy details: Beautiful and well kept traditional English village.
