As a hubby and wife with the 2 large dogs we are grateful this place welcomed us with open arms. Great staff team very helpful and talkative. You got to be patient with the fish but it was more the surroundings also they where spawning just a we arrived. I had no complaints 👌
I look forward to returning ☺️

Avoid this fishery we went here with our friend who had just broken his shoulder they refused to refund his money he was also dying had 3 months to live so we took him here to enjoy himself we had our bait boat out and the next day Anita came in with her attitude and targeted my wife making her cry and this then made us feel like we didn't want to stay another moment this place is run by bullies who I quote said this place will be the number 1 fishery the showers were revolting and we were told this is not a holiday
Damn right rude if you ask me avoid at all costs don't waste your money the huts had broken glass and we had slug marks all over the place with spiders that we had to put up out fly net just to be able to sleep at night our friends last moments were ruined so thank you Graham and Anita
I treat my worst enemy better then these cowboys it's been 3 years and from others reviews nothing has been done number 1 fishery right here pffffft yeah right keep dreaming the big life

Was very excited to spend the weekend here until we arrived. After arriving on Friday we got to our cabin on the kingfisher lake to find it was very old and had holes in the glass in the doors it was very run down and unclean. Don’t get me wrong I totally understand back to basic fishing trips as these are things we do on a regular basis we are always on the road going to different fisheries and slumming it in our bivy so I’m not expecting 5* when fishing, but this cabin was far from that. The cabin was infested with spiders and cobwebs I get this time of year you might come across the odd one or 2 but this was ridiculous there was that many I was unable to sleep they kept coming from everywhere and you can tell they have been there for a long while as the webs was thick with dust. I was unable to even put my fishing sleeping bag on the bed because every time I attempted this another spider appeared and they wasn’t little money spider put it that way, therefore I spent the whole night awake sat in my fishing chair. My partner has been traveling and she’s use to hostels and things and even she agreed she also ended up awake all night. I’m not one to leave a negative review but when you pay £130 for 48 hours and you leave after less that 24 i wouldn’t want anyone else to feel the way I did all night. I’m really sorry but for the money you pay these cabins need a massive revamp/ new cabins. The outside fenced off area that’s around the cabin is in better condition than the cabin itself. A friend of ours was going to book with his wife and child and when he rang this morning to ask how it was he’s now going to give it a miss as there’s no worse feeling.
As I can’t reply to your comment I’m doing so on here. I understand they are not lodges I have stayed at many fisheries with these cabins and none have been like this. The odd spider I can deal with but it wasn’t the odd one it was full of huge spiders and cobwebs that had been there a long time and my partner did speak to the gentleman who laughed when she let him know why we left and it was because I’m not sleeping where there are that many spiders it was like being on celebrity jungle and I did have a migraine as I couldn’t sleep spent all night awake due to the number of spiders in there. If the cabins are sheds then there shouldn’t be beds there as they aren’t looked after enough for people to sleep in. Therefor there should be room for Bivys and people use the sheds for equipment as that’s what a shed is for not built in beds provided. The website also states huts with built in beds therefore these aren’t advertised as a shed so there should be some level of cleanliness and Maintenance as people are sleeping in them and it’s not like a free shed for equipment whilst fishing.
Thanks

Stunning place to fish. The staff are fantastic & really helpful, nothing is too much. Tha lake is beautiful - its not easy.. but it's worth it, my mate caught a twenty that was spotless... this is fast becoming my favourite lake.
Try it .. you'll love it

Myself and other half booked on for 3 nights at Pavyotts on the Maze Lake. Upon arriving we realized we had forgotten our double air mattress and blankets. Anita was incredibly helpful and kind and sorted us out a couple of single mattresses we could sleep on and some blankets! Not only that, she gave me some Rennie for my heartburn (terrible diet!). As if that wasn't enough I came to find out my Van had a flat battery, again the guys at Pavyotts were so helpful. Graham towed my van out of swim 13 as I'd driven in forwards and jump started my van.
Despite the cold weather - 3 degrees throughout the night, we caught well. 7 bites landing 6 immaculate Carp to just under 40lbs.
The facilities at Pavyotts under the new owners are fantastic.. Lovley warm showers and clean toilets plus portaloos in each swim. The wooden huts are a nice little bonus also.
We would definitely recommend. It's our favourite place to fish not just for the unbelievable head of big carp it has.
See you soon guys and thanks again for everything

Lake's stunned, huts are basic and could do with doing up. The road around the lake needs relaying or the pot holes need a few tons of type 1 around the road. The toilets are absolutely disgusting and for the money your paying to fish the water and you only get 1 landing net between 2 anglers and for me it dangerous especially if you have a fish on a your mate gets a run at the same time. I also thought it was the law for every Angler they have there landing net and their own flotation sling

1st visit and what an amazing water and fishery, 4 of the hardest fighting common carp upto 25lb over 48 hours.
Don't be precious about the huts they keep you dry and are clean that's all you need, after all your fishing!!
You can park right by your swim so no Barrow needed which is awesome especially in the winter.
All the swims are well gravelled and well kept and easy big enough to accommodate 2 anglers.
The swims are great loads of features to fish too.
Overall for everything you want when fishing it's the best I've ever been too bar none!!
Already booked back in and can't wait!!
Looking forward to seeing Rod great guy!!
